BDP TR is a bright and photostable red fluorescent dye. This dye has similar to ROX by spectral characteristics. BDP TR has a long excitation lifetime; thus, it can be used in various fluorescence anisotropy assays besides conventional fluorescence microscopy.
As an alternative to alkynes, dibenzocyclooctyne (DBCO) readily reacts with azides via copper-free сlick reaction (SPAAC), resulting in BDP TR-biomolecule conjugates.
