Cabozantinib is a dual mechanism inhibitor that targets MET receptor tyrosine kinase and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2). The drug is used for the treatment of several types of oncological diseases, including renal cell carcinoma (RCC) (including in combination with nivolumab), hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC), and neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). The compound is also utilized in research to evaluate its efficacy and safety in other disease types, as well as to study mechanisms of therapy resistance.
