Buffer solution for dissolving lyophilized proteinase K, maintaining pH 7.5. The buffer contains calcium chloride, which increases the thermal stability of proteinase K.
The recommended concentration of proteinase K stock solution is 20 mg/mL. After dilution, the proteinase K solution must be stored at a temperature of −25 to −18 °C.
This buffer is included in kits for DNA isolation Spin Kit for Blood and Buccal Swab and Spin Kit for Any Sample.
