TMRE 广泛用于标记活细胞中的线粒体,但不兼容固定后的细胞。这种亲脂性且带正电的染料快速渗透质膜,不与膜蛋白相互作用而形成聚集体。TMRE 由于其跨膜电位而选择性地积聚在活性线粒体中。
