DiO，也称为 DiOC18(3)，是一种绿色荧光、亲脂性碳菁染料。 DiO的最大激发波长为487 nm 处，发射最大波长为501 nm。

DiO 广泛用作活的、固定的组织、细胞中的顺行和逆行神经元示踪剂。 DiO 通过通过在质膜中均一扩散来标记神经元。在完整的组织中，染料不会从标记的细胞转移到未标记的细胞，但当膜破裂时（例如切片后）可能会发生一些转移。

DiO 和 DiI 常用于双色研究。但 DiO 在膜上的横向扩散速率比 DiI 慢。
